Luo Jing
About Me
Jing Luo holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Tongji University and is an Associate Professor at Shanghai Normal University. She is a recipient of the Shanghai “Yangfan” Young Science & Technology Talent Program. Her research focuses on timber structures, architectural history, and science and engineering education. She serves as a committee member of the Timber and Composite Timber Structures Committee of the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization, the Timber and Bamboo Structures Committee of the Shanghai Civil Engineering Society, and the Biomass Materials and Structures Committee of the Architectural Society of China. She is also an expert in the Shanghai Science & Technology Expert Database and a reviewer for multiple SCI journals, including Engineering Structures. She has led more than ten funded projects, including the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). She has published over 30 academic papers, co-authored four technical standards, and obtained six software copyrights. Her research outcomes have received numerous awards, including the Second Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (2022 and 2024), the First Prize of the CECS Standard Science and Technology Innovation Award, the National First Prize in the National Blended Teaching Design Innovation Competition, and the Second Prize of the Shanghai Teaching Innovation Competition. In addition, her science education project was adopted by the Office of the Shanghai Municipal Leading Group for Education.
